November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I, is a holiday in all states. All major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice. Armistice Day was first commemorated in the United States by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919, and many states made it a legal holiday. Watercolor artist and teacher Charlene Buescher will instruct an all-day workshop in the watercolor medium. Please bring your supplies or kits are available to rent on class day for $10. A supply list is available upon request. Maximum 10 students.

Lights, music, floats, and fun along Phillips Ave from 14th St. to 6th.. It's a kids' event for kids of all ages! Come early, bring a chair and some blankets (or umbrellas, depending on Mother Nature's mood). Street vendors make sure you can have hot chocolate and coffee to ward off the chills. It's a not-to-be-missed annual spectacle!
