Downtown Sidewalk Arts Festival
Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm CDT
Location: Downtown
Sidewalk Arts page The Sidewalk Arts Festival is the largest annual fund-raiser for the Visual Arts Center at the Washington Pavilion, and the largest one-day outdoor festival in the region!

Each year it's estimated that more than 50,000 people flock to the downtown area to enjoy more than 270 art, craft, and food booths from 15 states!

In 2005 a few thousand people joined us after the fair for a Street Dance with local bands.

Northern Plains Indian Art Market NPIAM
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Annual Plains Indian Art Market, now organized by Sinte Gleska University, Mission, SD. Approximately 100 juried artists featuring sculpture; carving; beaded and quilled goods; quilts; drums; parfleche; knives; arrowheads; stained glass; painted hides; ceremonial items including dance sticks, breastplates, rattles; jewelry; paintings.

One of the best Indigenous art shows in the country, and for over 20 years one of the most consistent in quality and originality. Admission is $5 for one day, $7 for both days.

A preliminary look at the category winners as well as delicious hors d' oeuvres are $25 per person on Friday evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Old Courthouse Museum.
